Notes:

Sir Edmundbury Godfrey (1621-78) Justice of the Peace for Westminster, heard the deposition of Titus Oates and was considered active in counteracting the schemes of the Papal party. Godfrey was found dead im mysterious circumstances on Primrose Hill, north London, Catholics having been credited with his murder.
