Coins

Reference:5507 Roman Republican denarius, Man Acilius Glabrio, 58

Bust of Salus to right / Valetudo stg. holding a serpent.

Condition: Good Extremely Fine

Notes:

A most attractive coin of excellent fabric, with a deep strike and wonderful toning. (the coin looks rather better in the hand, than it does on the digital image).

The Acilia family claim to have introduced the first physician into Rome, thus the use of Salus and Valetudo on their coinage.
