Female figure seated mournfully, a skull on her lap, upon which she places her right hand, while her left arm leans upon a pedestal, upon which stands a funerary urn. A decorative armorial shield. Silver. 52 mm. (2.1 inches) in diameter.

Condition: Good very fine and a superb example of this rare medal.

Notes: The medal comprises two plates of silver bound by a frame at the edge. It is expertly made and believed to be of Dutch manufacture, where medallists excelled in the making of such medals.
